Nick Pike

Financial Planning Director

Nick is a SOLLA (Society of Later Life Advisers) accredited adviser working primarily with clients who need more care and attention, such as elderly clients or those who have come into money suddenly – inheritance, lottery winners, business sale, compensation for serious injury etc.

After university and a couple of years ‘national service’ teaching in tough Yorkshire schools, he retrained as an accountant and then as a financial planner. Nick now combines the communication skills developed in teaching, the accountant’s eye for detail and a natural flair for strategic big picture thinking to benefit his diverse range of clients including private individuals, trusts and pension schemes. He knows from experience with existing clients that significant decisions about wealth often come with substantial change and/or stress (inheritance, retirement, etc) so he make sure the financial planning process doesn’t add to that stress.

Having previously completed the Great North Run, the Trans Peak Challenge (26 miles by foot and bike), the Highland Challenge (60 miles by foot, bike and canoe across Scotland) and Yorkshire 3 Peaks, he was hoping to run a Marathon before the age of 40, but he's missed that by a few years already and so is now aiming to get it done before he's 50!
