Abby Glennie

Abby Glennie

Abby Glennie is an Investment Director at Aberdeen Standard Investments. She is responsible for UK Opportunities, Smaller Companies Pension Fund, and Bothwell Smaller Companies fund. Abby joined Standard Life in 2013 from Kames Capital where she was an Investment Analyst.
 
Abby graduated with a joint 1st MA, in Economics and Finance from University of Aberdeen and is a CFA charterholder.

 

Andrew Hunt

Andrew Hunt is an Investment Director in the UK Equities team for Aberdeen Standard Investments. Within his role, Andrew is responsible for the management of the UK Equity Recovery Fund, as well as analysing the Mining, Food & Drug Retailers, Non-Life Insurance and Pubs sectors. Andrew joined the UK Equity Team of Standard Life Investments in June 2016. Previously Andrew was at Baillie Gifford, where he worked for ten years as Investment Analyst and subsequently Investment Manager, with experience of global, UK and European equities, as well as credit.

Andrew holds a BA in Law from Girton College, University of Cambridge.

Andrew Milligan

Andrew Milligan is Head of Global Strategy at Aberdeen Standard Investments. Andrew advises the Chief Executive Officer and the senior fund management team with economic and market analysis. He is a member of the Global Investment Group forming the House View. The Strategy team writes the well-respected Global series of research publications for clients, and is part of the Multi Asset Investing team overseeing the absolute return funds. Andrew is also a member of the Strategic Investment Group. Andrew joined Standard Life Investments in 2000 as Global Investment Strategist before being appointed Head of Global Strategy in January 2001. 

Prior to joining Standard Life Investments, he was employed by HM Treasury, followed by Lloyds Bank where he was an Economic Adviser, and Smith New Court as an International Economist. In 1994 he was appointed Chief Economist with New Japan Securities Europe. He then moved to Morley Fund Management in 1996 to take up the position of Director of Economic Research & Business Risk. Andrew graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Economic History from Bristol University.

Andrew Paisley

Andrew Paisley is an Investment Director at Aberdeen Standard Investments. He is responsible for the management of the European Smaller Companies Strategy, which currently includes a SICAV fund, OEIC fund and one segregated mandate.

Andrew began his career as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen, before becoming a sector analyst for Sutherlands Stockbrokers. He joined Edinburgh Fund Managers in 1999, joining Kempen Capital Management in 2006. In 2011, he became co-manager of all UK smaller company mandates at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, prior to joining Standard Life Investments in August 2014.

Andrew holds the following qualifications: LLB (Hons), CA, IMC.

Andrew Stanners

Andrew Stanners

Andrew is an Investment Manager on the EMD team at Aberdeen Standard Investments. Andrew joined Aberdeen Asset Management via the acquisition of Deutsche Asset Management's London and Philadelphia fixed income businesses in 2005. Andrew held a similar role at Deutsche Asset Management, which he re-joined in 2004 following a short appointment as an Analyst at Cheyne Capital. Andrew initially joined Deutsche Asset Management in 2001. 

Andrew graduated with a BA joint honours in Economics and Economic History from York University.

Anne Breen

Anne is Global Head of Investment Process and Strategy at Aberdeen Standard Investments, and she is a member of the Real Estate Investment Management Committee. Her role is to define and articulate the approach for the new combined real estate business. This will include the creation of a Global view to support real estate investment allocations relevant to all investor outcomes, as well as the development of the tools and strategic insights to deliver a strong long term risk adjusted track record for clients. Previously, Anne managed the output of one of Europe's leading Property Research teams at Standard Life Investments. The team's activities include forecasting UK, European, Asian and North American property markets. Her team also provides strategic input for all of the 19 funds under management, including investment in listed and co-mingled property vehicles as well as the tactical use of global property derivatives.

Anne holds a BA, PG Dip, Investment Property Forum Diploma and UK SIP Level 3.

Mark Munro

Mark Munro

Mark Munro is an Investment Director at Aberdeen Standard Investments. Mark is a Portfolio Manager in our Credit team for Sterling Investment Grade Credit Funds and Strategic Bond Fund. Mark joined Standard Life Investments in 2013 from Scottish Widows Investments Partnership where he worked as an Investment Manager on the Corporate Bond Team, with responsibility for Sterling and Euro credit funds.

 

Peter McKellar

Peter McKellar is Global Head of Private Markets at Aberdeen Standard Investments. Peter is in charge of the private equity, infrastructure, real assets, strategic credit and private markets solutions business of Aberdeen Standard Investment. Peter is based in the Edinburgh and London offices and joined Standard Life Investments in 1999. Previously, Peter worked for Clydeport plc, a London listed company and former Montagu buyout, where he was the Corporate Development Director and then Group Finance Director, starting in 1995. Prior to that, Peter began his career in investment banking at JP Morgan in 1987, working in corporate finance.

Peter graduated with a LLB (Hons) degree in Law from the University of Edinburgh.

 

Sarah Norris

Sarah is an Investment Director within the European Equity Team at Aberdeen Standard Investments. She is responsible for providing research coverage of the Healthcare Equipment & Services and Software & Computer Services sectors, and she is also the lead portfolio manager on the European Ethical Equity Fund and co-portfolio manager of the management of the Global Equity Impact Strategy for Aberdeen Standard Investments. Sarah joined Standard Life in 2011 from Referendum Ready, a non-profit campaign that partnered with the Government of Southern Sudan Mission prior to independence. She continues to work with Impact Sudan, a non-profit organisation based in the US that supports education and community development projects in South Sudan.

Sarah graduated with a MA in International Relations and MLitt Post Graduate studies, both from St Andrews University.

Stephanie Kelly

Stephanie Kelly

Stephanie is the Senior Political Economist within the Aberdeen Standard Investments Research Institution, part of the Multi-Asset & Macro Investing Team. She leads research on European and US political and policy analysis, as well as Eurozone economic coverage. Stephanie joined Standard Life Investments in September 2014.

Stephanie has a BA (Hons) in Economics and Social Studies, and studied at Trinity College, University of Dublin. Stephanie also has an MSc in International Politics.

Thomas Moore

Thomas Moore

Thomas is an Investment Director in the UK Equities team for Aberdeen Standard Investments. Within his role, Thomas’ responsibilities include managing the Standard Life Equity Income Trust and the Standard Life Investments UK Equity Income Unconstrained Fund. He is also responsible for analysing the General Financials and Private Equity sectors. Thomas joined the UK Equity Team of Standard Life Investments in 2002. Previously Thomas began his career in 1998 at Schroders in UK Equities. 

Thomas holds a BA, is an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Mr. Metcalfe is responsible for FX, interest rate and cross-asset strategy for State Street Global Markets. His main area of expertise lies in developing tools to help analyze the market regime and in integrating measures of investor behaviour and inflation into an investment strategy.

His team is consistently voted as providing some of the best capital flow and macro research to institutional investors by industry surveys.

Having trained as an economist at Cambridge University, Mr. Metcalfe has spent 19 years as a macro strategist. He is a regular presenter and host at industry conferences and has had a talk published on TED.com on printing money for international aid. A frequent commentator in the financial media, he has had contributions published in numerous industry publications.
