Recent weeks have seen broadening concerns on the coronavirus spread and on the economic and market impact of it, but also of huge monetary and fiscal stimulus designed to generate demand and to cushion companies and individuals from the worst impact of the economic fallout. Bond markets have been at the epicentre of some of the recent volatility – and in particular some of the emerging market bond markets. And so too has Asia – but also due to it being first into the problems that now confront us all.
