Macro Matters: Northern Ireland, state aid .. and fish.

Brexit and Covid are still the topics on everyone's lips, like it or not. But taking a longer view, where does this leave UK politics?

We recorded this week's Macro Matters on the eve of the EU council meeting from which the UK government and public alike were hoping a large puff of white smoke would emit - signalling the beginnings, at least, of a trade agreement.   Are we expecting a resolution - positive or otherwise?  Will there be a wolf coming in January?   And does it really all hinge on Northern Ireland, state aid and fish?

Stephanie Kelly's guests this week are James McBride, from Hanbury Strategies, and Luke Bartholomew, a regular Macro Matters guest and a senior economist at the ASI Research Institute.  Join them as they discuss how Covid and Brexit play with the Westminster world, what the outlook is for UK politics, and what protracted political uncertainty means for markets and investors.
